Pricing
How we price a repair list
We don't post prices, because the same report line costs different amounts in different houses. We do tell you how the number is made.
What decides the price
The lines on the report and what each one asks for.
Open wall or finished wall
How many outlets or circuits
The age and condition of the panel
Permit fees
What the estimate includes, and what it doesn't
A row for each report line, with the fix and the price.
Not in it: drywall repair and paint
Not in it: the utility's own fees, at cost
Not in it: anything the report didn't mention
What happens at the visit
We open the panel and test the outlets the report names.
There is a visit fee
Book the repairs with us and it is credited toward the work
We don't price what we can't see
If the job changes
We stop and show you before we add anything.
Extra work is quoted as its own row
Nothing is added without your yes in writing
A text counts
How and when you pay
Payment follows the quote.
A deposit on larger jobs covers materials
The balance is due when the work is done
Cards and checks
When you get the number
In writing, before any work starts.
A fixed price for each row
We say at the first call whether we can reach your date
A date isn't promised before we've seen the list
Questions about the visit fee
What does the visit fee cover?
The trip, the time to read the report with you, opening the panel and testing the outlets the report names. The amount is on the call, before we come.
Is the visit fee credited?
If you book the repairs with us, yes, toward the work. If you don't, it covers the visit and the read-through.
Who pays for repairs after a sale?
That is the contract between the two sides. We bill whoever signs the work order.
Do you finance?
No. We take cards and checks.
Ready for a number?
Send the report and we'll tell you the visit fee and when we can come.
